From Dreams to Flight Deck: Celebrating First Officer Kaan Cakmak’s Journey

Kaan's journey through the Mesa Pilot Development program showcases his hard work and commitment, which have rapidly advanced his career in aviation. Here's what Kaan has to say about his journey:

“I’m excited to have finally accomplished my lifelong goal of becoming an airline pilot. I’m looking forward to many amazing years of working here at Mesa Airlines and eventually upgrading to captain. In addition, being in the United Aviate program offers me an excellent opportunity to one day become a United Pilot. My journey started last summer in the Mesa Pilot Development program, where I was able to accrue 644 hours in a short time frame. I'm beyond blessed and grateful to be in the position I am today.” ~ Kaan Cakmak – First Officer with Mesa Airlines
